Hi, we’re Chris and Steph—the husband-and-wife team behind The Costume Board Co.

Like many families, we were unexpectedly thrown into the wonderful world of dance and calisthenics. What started as supporting our daughters quickly became a passion of our own. Before long, our evenings were filled with sewing, embellishing, rhinestoning and learning just how much love, creativity and dedication goes into every single costume.

Along the way, we discovered something else -we’d become part of an incredibly supportive, talented and creative community. It’s a community we’re genuinely proud to belong to.

As every costume maker knows, creating costumes often means working late into the night, balancing garments on kitchen tables, ironing boards or even your lap while trying to place that one last rhinestone. We found ourselves wishing there was a better way.

So, we created one.

The Costume Body Board was designed to provide a smooth, sturdy surface that supports garments while you create - making sewing, embellishing and costume preparation easier, more comfortable and more enjoyable.

Today, every board is designed with the same attention to detail we’d expect for our own costumes. Whether you’re a dance mum, calisthenics family, costume designer, theatre wardrobe team or studio owner, we hope our products help you spend less time wrestling with your workspace and more time creating something incredible.
